What's been going on lately

Hey, things are going good here, I'm just hanging out and looking for jobs, while Shayne is at work. Shayne and I are feeling a lot better and our colds/sinus infections have finally gone away. And we are just a little stuffed up and have some drainage, but not as bad as before, so I'm glad about that and I hope to stay healthier for a while now. I signed up for unemployment and went to the service office to get my paperwork verified and updated the other day, so it's on the way to getting me paid my unemployment. I just have to call in every two weeks to check in and update info and give them my job search stuff and where I've applied, before they send out the check. So hopefully they think I qualify for unemployment, I guess I just have to wait and see, I'm sure I do though. I've got my resume updated and out on some job web sites, so I hope all goes well and it helps me on my job search. Issa and her husband Tony have started a game night each month, and we went to the first one last Saturday with Tony's brother, sister, and there husbands and wifes, and had a good time. We played this game called Quelf, which was the first time I've ever heard of or played, but it was fun and we got to hang out with a lot of other couples and have fun and eat and play the game. I look forward to the next one, and I might host a couple of them here at my place possibly in the near future. Other than that, I've just been hanging out and not doing much. Well, gotta go and find something to make for dinner and set up my tivo to record American Idol, but I'll talk to ya'll later and hope to hear from everyone soon. Have a great day and take care! Hey everyone, I figured it's about time for an update and a new post, even though there's not really anything going on. Shayne and I are both sick, I have a cold that isn't too bad right now, but Shayne has a sinus infection and maybe something else and is a lot sicker than me. I've been able to relax and rest lately, so that's probably why my cold isn't worse. I'm not working at Subway anymore, the owner said it wasn't working out and had to let me go. So lately while relaxing and resting, I've been job searching too. And with the job market in Michigan so bad and it being winter and not many places hiring, it's been hard to find a place to work. But I'm not giving up hope, I'm applying everywhere from Quizno's to any day care or office work or customer service stuff I can find. So hopefully I find something soon, I have my tax refund and savings to last me a few months if needed. And Shayne was telling me to file for unemployment, which will help out a little bit too. So I guess that's the only news that I can think of that is going on here. Besides it being so cold and snowy and icy. Shayne and I are still planning on coming out in April to see everyone, so I'm excited about that and being able to show him around. We plan on going to Yosemite while we are out there and probably to San Francisco too, so that should be fun. And we could go up in a couple cars if everyone wants to go to Yosemite, that might be fun to do. Hey, I'm still alive out here, just not much going on. Just working and hanging out most of the time. I'll have to post some more pic's soon and find something exciting to do, so that I can post about it, hehe. Well, I'm doing good and Shayne is doing good, we both can't get rid of our colds/ sinus infections/ coughing yet, had them for almost a month now. Trip to Cali

Hey, just wanted to let ya'll know that Shayne and I have bought the plane tickets for our trip out to Cali. We will be there from April 9th to April 16th. Baby Xavier, Shayne's nephew. His sister, Sarah had him on Jan. 7th around 5pm. He weighed 6lbs 5oz and was 19 inches long. He's a cutie, and I got to hold him right after he was born. Well, talk to ya'll later and have a goodnight! Take care and hope all is well with everyone! Love ya!

Christmas tree

Here's our Christmas tree, it turned out really pretty, most of it was gold and red ornaments. With some special ones like ducks on it too. Christmas was good, spent it with Shayne and his family and had a good time. We are planning a trip out to Cali in April, cause Ash said she had Spring Break then, so we want to know who will be around or try to plan it out to have everyone there when we are there. Anne, when are you planning on going out? We plan on going out on the 12th or 13th or whatever day Wed. happens to fall on and stay till the following Wed. So let me know if you will be out there then.

Here's some more pic's of the crazy snow storms we keep getting. It's so pretty, too bad it has warmed up and melted most of the snow away and made it all muddy and yucky out. Now we are getting thunderstorms and in a couple days, it's supposed to snow again. This weather is just crazy. I've got a cold and I've lost my voice, but other than that, I'm doing fine. I hope I get my voice back soon, cause it's hard to work or talk to anyone with no voice.

These other pictures are after the snow storm too of the house and the yard with all the snow. It looks pretty, but most of it has already melted away cause it's warmed up some, so it's slushy and muddy out now.

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've updated here, so I probably should do that now. Everything is going good here for me, work is going fine. It's cold here and snowing or freezing rain, so I'm having to get used to the snow again, not really fun and I wish that it would just go away, hehe. Things with Shayne are still going great! We are planning on going out to Cali sometime in Feb. or March, I'll keep you updated and let you guys know when exactly we go down there, so maybe we can meet up or something. I've got my Christmas tree up and some other Christmas decorations, so I need to take some pictures and post them on here soon. Plus no one answers there phone or calls back, I've called so many of you to see what's up and how things are going and nothing. Well, I have some news/ update that will get everyones attention and probably have my phone off the hook or emails full. And I'm sure everyone will have something to say or not be happy about it, but it's life and I'm an adult and capable to make up my mind and my own choices. Shayne and I are living together. Yep, it may come to a surprise to everyone, but I love him and we are in love and it was bound to happen eventually, probably not how you guys wanted it to happen, but it did. And I'm sure I'll hear it from you all and have some of you mad at me, but it had to be said and put out there, and I couldn't keep putting off telling everyone. I just hope everyone can accept this or learn to accept it, cause I would like everyone to meet him and see what a great guy he is. Updates

Just a quick update here, things are going good. Work is fine and keeping me busy. The Lions game that I went to was a good one and I had fun, they did really good and won and it was cool. It's starting to snow a little, but not enough to stick and it's getting really cold. I'm not looking forward to winter, it's going to be a cold one and lots of snow. Halloween was good, didn't really do much. I carved a pumpkin and made my pumpkin have a duck on it, I'll have to get a picture of it on here soon. Well, gotta go clean, pay some bills, and relax a little before I have to head out to work, but I'll talk to you all later and hope to hear from ya. Have a great day and weekend! :)
