Moving

Well, Shayne got a new job out in Grand Rapids, so we are moving there in about three weeks, yeah! :) Grand Rapids is like an hour and a half from Corunna/Owosso area were we live now and were most of his family and our friends live. So we will still live close enough to come and visit on the weekends and see everyone, which is great. Plus it wont be that bad of a drive to move there and the city is much bigger and much more to do there. So I'll have a better chance at finding a job there, which is a good thing. Shayne heard about this job from a friend that used to have his current job as the general manager at Subway and she helped him get the job, so that's cool. He will be working for Subway Corporate going around to different Subways and evaluating them and making sure they are up to standards with stuff and pass the requirements that they need to. So it will be a lot better for him and he's way excited about the job and I'm happy about it too. It will be less stressful for him too, he doesn't have to manage four different Subways anymore and do all that work and not get phone calls all day from different stores and employees and he will actually get time off and not have to work every day and I will probably get to see him more, yeah. With the new job he gets a new company car that they pay for everything on, except for your gas on personal use, gets better benefits, 401k, weekends and holidays off, better schedule, more money, easier to take time off, has vacation days and sick days, and in the summer they get half day Fridays, so it's a lot better of an opportunity for him and me. He gave his two weeks notice today and his boss took it better than he thought he would, but is going to be super stressed out trying to find his replacement and cover his job, but that happens, and he was understanding of the situation. Shayne had his interview on Monday, yesterday, and got the call the same day saying that he got the job, so that was awesome and things just went so fast for him and getting the job. Now we just need to find an apartment in the next couple weeks and start packing, it's going to be crazy busy, but we will have lots of help with the moving, so that will be good. I'm not looking forward to the packing, but in the end it will be a good move for us. And with all that happening, Shayne's transmission on his car went out and it cost way more than what the car is worth, so he's just going to sell it for parts and use his Dad's truck for a little while till he gets the new company car. So I took my car into the mechanic to get some stuff fixed on my car, so that we had a car to drive around and get it all ready for the cold and winter. It was doing this crazy shaking while you drove it and luckily it wasn't anything to major, just a bad tire in the back, so I have to replace that and get two new tires put on the front and get the two new tires that I already have on the front moved to the back. Plus it needed a tune up and he said that it looked like it hasn't had one in a very long time and the parts all looked like the original ones from the dealership, not good. Plus they are going to do an alignment too, put new brakes and drums on the front, and do an oil change. So there's lots of working getting put into that car and it will be running much better and like new once it's done, yeah! I probably will get it back either Wednesday or Thursday, so that's good and he's a really good mechanic and has done work on my other car and on Issa's and is pretty reasonably priced and a nice guy, so that's always good. Well, I better get going and start on dinner and take care of a few other things before Shayne gets home, but I hope all is going well for everyone. Have a great day and take care! Love you all and I'll keep you guys updated on the move and how everything is going. Talk to ya later. :)

Hey Alli!! Good luck with the move; that's a whole lot of work! But it sure sounds like it will be good for both of you. Let me know how it all goes!

Congrats on the new job Shayne, good luck with everything. Alli, good luck with packing and trying to find a new job. Are you closer to the west coast now? When you said Grand Rapids, I first thought of a city in Colorado, so I was so excited, thinking, they're going to be closer to me....well, love you!

I am glad things are going well for you--I was hoping for the next move to be just a little farther west. Amy and i just attended Kellee Fremming's bridal shower tonight. It was fun. She will live in West Jordan just like Jenny. We are knee deep in Cumorah's Hill practice and Amy is really enjoying it. The season for craziness is upon us--we need deep breathes and grateful thoughts. Love, Mom & Amy

Thanks, we hope that the move goes smooth and I'll keep you updated on everything and how it goes. It's about an hour and a half closer to the west coast than I was, so I'm gradually getting closer. Hopefully someday it will be much closer than that to you guys, I miss it out west and miss you guys bunches. It should be good for us and a change and better opportunities there. Take care and love you! :)
